Which Kc value is correct?

For your heat cost allocation we provide you with the necessary information in order to execute the calculation. Therefore we have compiled the current KC values and make them available to you by an excel file.
You receive the needed KC values upon request from our sales team at sales@engelmann.de
This table is continuously being extended by Engelmann as soon as new KC value measurings are available.

CONDITIONAL EQUATIONS FOR CALCULATING THE CONSUMPTION VALUE

These are, firstly, the equations for calculating the consumption value based on the HCAe2 display value for the standard 2-sensor operation, the optionally selectable 1-sensor mode and the remote sensor mode.
Secondly, the value of the basic sensitivity for determining the heat loss through pipes, according to the supplementary sheet “Method for the consideration of heat loss through pipes” of the Directive VDI 2077.

In case of operation with product scale:

Consumption value = Display value

In case of operation with unit scale:

1-sensor mode

Consumption value = (Display value * KC1 * KQ) / 1.181

2-sensor mode

Consumption value = (Display value * KC2 * KQ) / 2.288

Remote sensor mode*

Consumption value = (Display value * KCRS * KQ) / 1.097

*valid for 1-sensor, as well as 2-sensor-mode. Here applies KC1 = KC2.

Heat loss through pipes:
For properties in which the heat loss through pipes has to be determined (according to the supplementary sheet “Method for the consideration of heat loss through pipes” of the Directive VDI 2077), the basic sensitivity of the heat cost allocator is needed.
The basic sensitivity indicates the ratio of the HCA-display-progress (consumption value) to the heat output of the radiator with a standard heat output of 1,000 W:

This parameter is determined as part of the approval of the heat cost allocator or can be calculated from the tests carried out for the approval.

The basic sensitivity was determined by the IGE Stuttgart, the expert body A1 for heat cost allocators, for the Engelmann heat cost allocator HCAe2.
It is:

1.07 units / kWh

The basic sensitivity applies to all modes, i. for the 1-sensor mode, the 2-sensor mode and the remote sensor mode.
